In collaboration with Sara Pearce Fine Art we were pleased to present the limited edition lighting collection of Emanuele Pantanella. A project forty years in the making, Pantanella's lighting designs debut in London in April 2013. Pantanella first conceived the prototypes in the 1970s but developments in lighting technology allow for the discret wiring. The contacts are hidden within the wood so that while illuminated, the shades are able to rotate, swivel, or slide. A timeless use of materials, the light is composed of cherry wood finished with a fine polish with a brass-lined shade. Each piece is a study in geometry with a formal simplicity to it. Pantanella references industrial tradition and sculpture in his forms and seamlessly fuses it with exquisite Italian artisanship. The lights have a sophisticated, abiding elegance and are equally comfortable in a classical setting as well as in a contemporary interior.
